On the charge of obstruction of justice, Bob Mueller’s report “does not conclude that the President committed a crime”. That’s an important finding because that is what prosecutors do—they prosecute, they do not exonerate. Why? Because we all enjoy the presumption of innocence.

After Russiagate came crashing down, Trump’s re-election campaign is targeting six high profile Democrats who, they claim, “made outlandish, false claims, without evidence.”

Six Democrats were mentioned in a memo sent by the re-election campaign to networks: Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Rep. Jerry Nadler, Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Eric Swalwell, DNC Chair Tom Perez, and John Brennan, former CIA director....

The same house costs $500,000 more to build in California than Texas

...“In Texas, they have one new home community under construction today for every 10,000 people. In Florida, they build one new home community for every 20,000 people. In California, the ratio is one community per 45,000 people. The result is that [home builders] who build and sell substantially the same house in Texas for $300,000 as they build in California for $800,000,” writes Pete Reeb, a principal at John Burns Real Estate Consulting, in a new analysis.

California is a unique — and difficult — market for three primary reasons, according to Reeb. It can take 10 years or more to get a master-planned community approved for development, according to John Burns Northern California expert Dean Wehrli.

“And it’s a BIG IF that you will even get approvals, while subdivisions that already have substantial conformance with local zoning laws can take three to five very expensive years,” adds Reeb.

Additionally, California’s development fees are exorbitant. Homebuilders have to pay $25,000 to $75,000 in fees for a single home to be built in some areas of the state. Of course, that expense pushes prices higher for homebuyers.

Finally, although California has plenty of land to construct on, there are many restrictions on where homebuilders can and can’t build....

How California is becoming more like Venezuela

With total domination in the Capitol, Democrats are ignoring voters’ will on rent control and the death penalty, making California more autocratic....

Having achieved total domination of the Capitol, Democratic politicians clearly resent sharing lawmaking authority with voters. We have seen numerous attempts to kneecap the initiative process. We’ve seen Democratic attorneys general twist the ballot wording of measures they oppose, such as last year’s effort to repeal new gas taxes, and we’ve seen those attorney generals and governor refuse to defend voter-approved initiatives in court.

The latest wrinkle appears to be an increasing willingness by the dominant Democrats to thumb their noses at voters by pursuing policies that contradict what the voters decreed.....

If governors and legislators can simply ignore the will of voters, or block them from making decisions politicians don’t like, then California becomes more autocratic and less small-d democratic.

That’s the sort of thing that Third World dictators, such as Venezuela’s current despot, do. It’s the sort of thing that Democratic politicians routinely accuse Donald Trump of doing.

It disrespects the people they purport to serve.

Here's Why John F. Kennedy Once Passionately Argued To Keep The Electoral College

...To be sure, Trump has skin in the game, having won the electoral college and “lost” the so-called “popular vote.” But others have weighed in as well throughout history, including none other than then-Senator John F. Kennedy, who in 1956 called the idea “one of the most far-reaching, and I believe mistaken-schemes ever proposed to alter the American constitutional system.”...

According to the Congressional Record, Kennedy praised our current system as one in which “third parties and splinter parties are effectively discouraged from playing more than a negligible role.”

“Today we have an electoral vote system which gives both large States and small States certain advantages and disadvantages that offset each other,” he said on the Senate floor. “Now it is proposed that we change all this. What the effects of these various changes will be on the Federal system, the two-party system, the popular plurality system, and the large-State small-State checks and balances system, no one knows.”

In part of his speech, Kennedy even quoted James Madison: “This government is not completely consolidated, nor is it entirely federal … Who are the parties to it? The people, not as the people comprising one great body, but the people comprising 13 sovereignties.” ...

This is monumental for the pro-life movement, and it could spell big trouble for the abortion industry

Stop Whining: Millennials Are The Most Prosperous Generation That’s Ever Lived

Why do millennials like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez embrace the most disastrous economic philosophy of the 20th century? Because millennials have suffered more than the generations that have come before them. At least this is the takeaway of the author of a new fawning cover story of the socialist congresswoman in Time magazine.

“.@AOC and I were born the same year. She was a Dunkaroos kid—I liked fruit roll-ups,” Time reporter Charlotte Alter tweeted. “People our age have never experienced American prosperity in our adult lives—which is why so many millennials are embracing Democratic socialism” (emphasis mine). Alter also claims that Ocasio-Cortez’s “adulthood was defined by financial crisis, debt & climate change. No wonder she and her peers are moving left.”...

The Collusion Delusion

...For those anxious to keep the dream alive, the (New York) Times published its usual graphic of Trump-Russia “contacts,” inviting readers to keep making connections. But in a separate piece by Peter Baker, the paper noted the Mueller news had dire consequences for the press:
It will be a reckoning for President Trump, to be sure, but also for Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, for Congress, for Democrats, for Republicans, for the news media and, yes, for the system as a whole…
This is a damning page one admission by the Times. Despite the connect-the-dots graphic in its other story, and despite the astonishing, emotion-laden editorial the paper also ran suggesting “We don’t need to read the Mueller report” because we know Trump is guilty, Baker at least began the work of preparing Times readers for a hard question: “Have journalists connected too many dots that do not really add up?”

The paper was signaling it understood there would now be questions about whether or not news outlets like themselves made a galactic error by betting heavily on a new, politicized approach, trying to be true to “history’s judgment” on top of the hard-enough job of just being true. Worse, in a brutal irony everyone should have seen coming, the press has now handed Trump the mother of campaign issues heading into 2020.

Nothing Trump is accused of from now on by the press will be believed by huge chunks of the population, a group that (perhaps thanks to this story) is now larger than his original base. As Baker notes, a full 50.3% of respondents in a poll conducted this month said they agree with Trump the Mueller probe is a “witch hunt.”

Stories have been coming out for some time now hinting Mueller’s final report might leave audiences “disappointed,” as if a President not being a foreign spy could somehow be bad news....

Renewed Scrutiny: "deals struck during the Obama admin signal that the Chinese "are buying off Biden through his son..."

...“In December of 2013, Hunter Biden flies on Air Force 2 to Beijing, China, with his father. His father meets with Chinese officials, he’s very soft on Beijing. The most important thing that happens happens 10 days after they return. And that’s when Hunter Biden’s small, private equity firm called Rosemont Seneca Partners gets a $1 billion private equity deal with the Chinese government, not with the Chinese corporation, with the government. And what people need to realize is Hunter Biden has no background in China, he has no background in private equity, the deal he got in the Shanghai free-trade zone, nobody else had. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Blackstone, nobody had this deal.”...
