Democrats, in Showing Their Extremism, Do Nation a Favor

In Wednesday evening's Democratic presidential debate circus, the left's favorite darlings turned on one another with a selfish vengeance, which was a positive development for the country and mildly entertaining. The glorious infighting continued among progressive commentators.

This acrimony, coupled with the public exposure of the left's crazy ideas, surely diminished the party's image among sane voters. The more leftists reveal their inanity and extremism, the better for President Trump and the nation. As one lifelong-Democrat African American caller told Rush Limbaugh the day after the debates, "The Democratic Party is no longer recognizable to me."...

Democrats ... did the nation a rare service in, once again, revealing their certifiably insane policy positions, from health care to the environment. And as if to make sure voters wouldn't dare doubt their extremism, they all circled the wagons when any among them strayed from the party line and questioned the practicality of their proposals. When debate moderators or rival candidates challenged contenders to justify the financial cost of their plans, they were quickly accused of invoking "Republican talking points." We saw this from Crazy Bernie, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Julian Castro. Excellent. Any time a Democrat pretends to brush up against reality and common sense, another one savages him or her for acting like a Republican...

Democrat Debate night 1: Biden the punching bag

Axelrod said, “I think the good news for Joe Biden is this was maybe the best he could do, and the bad news is this may be the best he could do. He was much better than last time. He was much more engaged. But…he had moments in which he was uncertain, where he was on the defensive. And the main thing is, he was the guy who was going to take on Trump and bring it to Trump and restore values and decency. That was what — that’s where he started in this race. Tonight, he had to be a gut fighter, and I think he paid some price for that.”

If the critics of high-speed rail had been in charge in the 1960s, California never would have built the water, transportation and education systems that laid the foundation for the Golden State's greatness.

High-speed rail is not some crazy technology. Japan inaugurated a bullet train in 1964 between Tokyo and Osaka, and now more than 20 countries have HSR. The world has been doing this for more than a half-century, but California's can't build a rail line?

Papadopoulos to head to Greece to retrieve $10G payment, says it was intended to entrap him

Former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive interview that he is heading back to Greece to retrieve $10,000 that he suspects was dropped in his lap as part of an entrapment scheme by the CIA or FBI -- and federal investigators want to see the marked bills, which he said are now stored in a safe. Papadopoulos said on "Sunday Morning Futures" he was "very happy" to see Devin Nunes, R-Calif., grill former Special Counsel Robert Mueller about the summer 2017 payment during last week's hearings -- even though Mueller maintained, without explanation, that the matter was outside the scope of his investigation....

What the change at the office of the Director of National Intelligence means

Thomas Lifson at American Thinker (via Lucianne): The appointment of a former US Attorney who is also a master of the details of the attempted plot to oust Trump signals that the “investigate the investigators” phase of the biggest political scandal in history is moving into high gear.... With him calling the shots on the entire intelligence community, the stonewalling should be constrained if not stopped. Ratcliffe knows how the flip witnesses with threats of prosecution, and knows people in the Department of Justice who can carry out the threats of prosecution on lower-level people incriminated in the cabal’s plot to overturn an election and carry out a coup d’etat....

Mitch McConnell Did the Right Thing By Killing Two Democrat Fake Election Protection Bills

Objectively, the angst in political Washington right now over “foreign meddling” in our elections is nothing more significant than mildly deranged monkeys rubbing feces on themselves to get attention. In 2016, not a single vote was changed anywhere by Russian hands because absolutely none of the votes cast in the presidential election were done so by systems that could be compromised by “hacking.” The fact is that the systems that are vulnerable to hacking really don’t mean a whole lot in terms of election results. If voter registration records are altered to add imaginary voters, then someone has to show up and cast a vote. This could be foiled by the simple precaution of requiring a government-issued REAL ID compliant identification. If you can’t be bothered to get one, it isn’t a sign of The Man keeping you down, it is a sign that you are too f***ing apathetic or stupid to be allowed to vote....
