Jared Leto (@jaredleto) had NO IDEA about the coronavirus pandemic after spending 12 days in the desert with no phone. He nearly died earlier this month after his safety rope almost snapped while he was rock climbing. Jared Leto was in for an even bigger shock Monday as he ended a 12-day desert retreat, only to learn that much of the globe was taking extreme measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The 48-year-old Oscar winner shared his stunned thoughts to social media shortly after getting ahold of his cell phone again. ‘Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility,’ he began. ‘Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing - to say the least. I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on.’ —TheDailyMail
